Cutting carbon poles

I broke off the tip of a carbon pole and the guy at the ski shop put glue in it to keep it from cracking farther but now it slips out when trying to pole plant. I bought them to a ski shop that said they can't cut carbon poles but other ski shops might be able to. How can I fix it? The pole has to be cut by the tip, not the grip.

Masking tape and a hacksaw. Carefully.

If it's just the plastic tip that broke, not the carbon itself, contact the manufacturer for a new tip.

As above, hacksaw, but make sure you use a really, really, really fine toothed blade or you'll end up with strands of carbon everywhere.
And don't breathe the dust when cutting, it's really bad news in your lungs.

Thanks! It's the carbon that broke, not just the tip, I'll probably need a new tip too though, hopefully it will fit despite the pole being a little wider as it goes up.
