Just got surgery yesterday, am going to be immobile and bored as fuck for at least a week or two until i am allowed to walk around.
Luckily I have a bottle full of oxycodone...

Anyway, if you guys could recommend me some good/interesting/intellectually stimulating documentaries and/or films that would be super cool. That and/or hobbies etc that I could do without having to move my lower body!

I was out all of may for acl/miniscus surgery ...
You can watch all the Game of Thrones from project free tv if you havnt got into that ..
World cup is on ESPN for a few more days.

Netflix has a boatload of documentaries if you're into that.

Look into cold water extraction for the pills if you're into that. The Acemetenophine made me itchy as fuck.

After my ACL surgery, I was bored as shit. Watch some TV. Sleep. If you're allowed out on crutches, hobble around the block. If you're looking for a hobby, take up fly tieing.

As for the pills, watch out. They're addictive as fuck. They didn't do much for me, so I stopped taking them after about three days. I found that an ice pack and some ibuprofen worked just as well.

i already can guitar, its sort of hard to play at the moment as i have to be horizontal for a few more days.
i was thinking about learning to crocheting, does anyone do that/have advice on where to start/good websites for learning?



As for the drugs, percocet is fucking great but I can see how it can be addicting. I am pretty fucking itchy and sleeping is a weird experience.

I think i'm going to take up masturbating way more. I tried last night and it took fucking an hour and a half for me to cum. Good way to kill some time.

got my surgery in the beginning of june so i know your feel bro :)
things i did to cope>>>

immobile phase:
hardcore gaming
worldcup watching
fapping
model aircraft building
physio (great for setting your mind and have something to look forward to)
if you happen to do sportsclimbing and have an old rope, make a roperug (google it if you dunno what im talking about)

mobile with crutches:
see friends/social contact, very important
walks around the block (see whats possble with physio)
make a fixie, find an old roadbike for 30bucks and turn it into a cool ride because you'll be doing a lot of cycling to rebuild muscles :)

and series and movies ofcourse :)

ps:
did you get reconstruction or a lars ligament ?

I had a similar tear. Also fuckes my left and right meniscus and MCL. I was off crutches in 4 days. Try to get the flexibility back but don't push it too hard. Every chance you get make fun of yoski. And pick up a gameboy and get yourself to beat it. Bam. Also have girls come over and hang out. They all feel bad for you as it is and will never say no to helping a kid bed ridden.

sure, ive spent a little more and built mine around a sram automatix 2 speed coaster, looks like a fixed but works great for recovery training but yeah if you want to build a bike specifically for the purpose, keep the gears and especially the freewheel, cause fixed will fuck up your knee

Shit, 4 days? Man I feel like it will be at least a week before I can move around at all.
I'm on day two atm and all I can do right now is take percocets and nap on the couch.

Yea man. I mean by no means was I walking smooth. It would take about 5 minutes to walk 15 feet to bathroom. But keep that chin up man. It's a long sad road but it's all worth it in the end.

Yeah being in the first stages of addiction is fun I swear. Especially when they go from giving you 60 to 30 a week before surgery so you have to be in more pain and not do nearly as much.

ITS A FUCKING BLAST.

Pick a TV show and binge-watch it; there's really no other advice that can be given. Ice, elevate, watch TV.

When I fucked up my knee they doctor tried Oxy and Vicodin and I hated them both. Went with the 1000mg acetaminophen and it was fucking heavenly.

i only got panadol/paracetamol and only took it for a couple of days...
cant really say my new acl was very painful, just the first night was hell ... (probably because i thought i'd be ok gettin my painkillers next morning)

I have norcos at the moment. Same thing as vicodin but with 325 mg of acitominophen instead of 500.

You would not believe how well they work. But I have a herniated disc so it could be different.

I don't think I'll be posting here much, I think i've grown out of the NS thing, most of these threads seem rather silly now. I still come back daily for videos and the occasional front-page worthy thread though.

GTA 5 is a great game that would get anyone addicted.

Outpost Restrepo is a great Afghanistan war documentary that you could find on netflix

theres a new tv network called velocity that is all about cars if you're into that

weed is always fun

oxycodone is also fun

of course if you have friends over to cheer you up

drinking is fun when you're with friends

listening to music

weed



have a good recovery and remember, dont push yourself if you dont feel comfortable, with injuries like these, you are more likely to get re-injured

So i just finished House of Cards which was great, and the last TV series I watched beforehand was Breaking Bad.

I hear very good things about True Detective. Are there any other similar shows that I should consider getting into?
(fuck game of thrones etc. i want that serious shit yo)

Stitches out yesterday, bandages off today. Was nice to be able to shower without a garbage bag on my leg.
Shits going as well as it can i suppose, still just chilling. Can't go past 90 degrees on my leg until next week i think. Brace for another 3 weeks at least.

Also I started watching True Detective, that shit is fucking incredible.

Sleeping on my back is the best with pillows under my knees. Every morning I wake up on my stomach which fucking sucks.

Fuck. True Detective man. Shit is so good. Shouldn't have agreed to only watch it with my gf, can't wait for the next episode.
