Backflips and spins?

ok so i can backie on my everyday day skis, which are light as a feather. this guy was telling me one day that heavy skis are good for backflips cus the momentum/weight helps you swing around. so i have a really heavy powder/touring setup and i want to know if it would be a lot harder throwing backies. also, on my touring setup the bindings are mounted at -6 or-7 so the swing weight is just awkward. how do i throw down in the bc on skis like this? i cant even do 360s these things feel so nose heavy.

1. Go skiing on them.
2. Do a backflip.

just go do it man, if theyre your bc setup its gunna be soft anyway.

It'll be harder to start the flip but coming around will be easier because of their momentum

I had probably thrown 50 backies on my park skis and was very confident with them but the first time i tried on my touring setup, (bibbys with guardians, so pretty heavy)I underrotated, caught my tips, and peeled my lip and the skin on my chin away from my jaw bone and had to go to the ER for stitches, so I'd recommend hucking a little harder than normal, I went skiing 4 days later though so you'll be fine if you do what I did.

Personally I have never found swing weight to be an advantage with backies, I light popy ski is always more controlled. With my pow skis, formally ep pros and k2 shreddators. I found you have to compensate for the weight by having more extension/ drive to initiate the flips first 1/4. BUt the last 1/4 comes fast and you have to kick out earlier.
