I know there are more brown pow lovers on this site, yah there is pinkbike but lets be honest, newshcoolers is wayyyy cooler. so lets posts our rides, questions about components, mechanic questions etc in this thread.

I just bought this beauty and i definitely sacrificed uphill capabiltiy in order to get a beefier dh/park bike. id been on a nomad for a while and it's a huge switch in riding styles for me. definitely getting used to the weight and having to keep speed a lot more.

specs for said beauty, 2011 rc2 dh totem, 2012 dhx rc4, highrollers front and back (gona go dhf front and highroller in the back), mtx 33 wheel set, slx brakes, diablous cranks, FSA 760mm Handlebar, Shimano SLX Shifter & Shimano Deore XT Derailleur.

I’ve heard good things about snowmass and wp never been outwest so I can’t personally say their great. Just ones my friends liked

Last time I was in Winter Park I took a bunch of edibles and rode XC trails for 8 hours, was a good day but I was kicking myself for not going to Trestle.

My username is No Quarter because it is the best Led Zeppelin song. One time my friends and I were having a house party and I was on acid, when I was starting to get visuals I put on No Quarter and kicked everyone onto the porch unless they wanted to sit down and shut up and listen, and turned up my stereo to probably the loudest it has ever been.

On the topic of music, has anyone used bone conduction headphones while riding? Wondering if anyone has input to products that wouldn't be a pain to wear with a helmet. Never been a fan of riding with headphones on being one of those annoying people with a Bluetooth speaker on the trail.

My friend swears by those bone headphones for everything. Hiking, biking, chilling. He doesn't really mountain bike but I assume if they work alright for riding in the city, they'd work fine in the woods. Idk if they would fall off easily though

Went for an evening session tn, broke my phone, and lost my car key, so I had to ride 10km home unexpectedly. car retrieval will be attempted tomorrow. I did finally get really really shitty no handers on that drop I posted recently though!

its actually pretty steep but yeah low.

Disagree, it gets clapped out and is super busy. Also lacking in the tech, the vitalmtb guys said it’s better to ride a trail bike at trestle than a DH bike lol

I'm 5'2" and 740 seems to be a good fit. I got on my old trail bike before I sold it that had 640s (I think) and idk how we used to ride those. So twitchy! I remember my friends and I were all resistant to wider bars because we grew up riding in really tight redwood trees and thought we needed the narrow bars to avoid clipping tree trunks.

5'8, I cut them to learn barspins last summer and just kinda got used to riding everything with short bars. would I probably be better off on something like a 730 or 740, yes. but does a full 800 feel like I can't move around the bike at all, also yes.

Anyone in PA wanna do shuttle laps at michaux? My usual riding buddy is injured and I feel hella unmotivated to ride when i have to climb so much haha. I can take two other bikes on my rack, and I can go pretty much any afternoon or on weekends
