OlimarAnd no it was no some biased feminist/women's studies class. It was a seminar and was taught by a dude. And the professor was the fucking man. Basically he broke the "cycle of poverty" (yeah that cycle that doesnt actually exist, proven true by this guy) and owns several businesses and is the fucking man.
Please explain to me how the cycle of poverty doesn't exist and how he 'broke' it. It will make my job SO much easier working with families who have been in that cycle for generations.
Does he offer input in how to overcome physical and mental health barriers? Limited access to education, multi-generational trauma (physical/emotional/sexual abuse, residential schools, etc), substance abuse barriers?
Based on my experience, those are just a few of the contributing factors that keep people in the cycle of poverty, but it sounds like your prof has the answers...
