tail grabs with spins

for some reason this is super hard for me, and would like help with it. +k for helpful answers.

firstly make sure you have 3's dialed and the jump you're comfortable with, then learn tail grabs, then slowly progress to grabbing.So try getting the position of the tail grab correct while doing threes without grabbing, then when that's dialed grab the opposite ski to where you're spinning. Favourite trick to do by far.

this might be weird, but try doing a stale 3 or 5 first. I learned that before spinning with a tail/blunt. It was just easier at the time.

When I learned tails I started by just grabbing safety, but brought my skis up like I would be grabbing for tail. Then I just moved my hand up up my ski until I could grab tail.

try leading tail. so if you spin left then grab with your left hand. it's nice because when you look at your ski to grab you also spot your landing. plus it looks dope as fuq

You can practice the motion of the grab on the lift. Just reach behind the seat and bring the ski to your hand. Visualize the jump and spin. Helps with the muscle memory.

Bring your tail to your hand, don't try to get your hand to your ski.

while this topic is in discussion, if you are spinning left grabbing lead tail, is your left foot over or under your right? Personal preference? or is one easier than the other?

I usually go left on top but you can go other if its more comfortable

If you spin right 3 then grab tail with your right hand. It will help you bring it around and spot your landing. I'd say it just depends on which is easier. For a 3 I find the tail to be a bit easier but others may disagree.

i like doing lead blunts with 5s, but with 3s i find trailing blunts easier (spin right, left hand left tail). At least thats what i learned first, now its the easiest way for me to do a 3.

You have to be patient to get the grab... wait until you spin 180 and then grab it
