Mr.HuckInB4 ban on all screwdrivers and pairing knives.
But seriously. To all the anti gun nuts out there: If someone wants to kill or harm a bunch of kids at a school, there are plenty of ways to do it. This should be pretty obvious. You can ban all pointy objects and someone is going to figure out how to poison the food or the water. You kind of need to figure out why people are doing this, try to identify warning signs and intervene earlier.
Maybe the solution is to label everyone in high school as ADD, ADHD, Dyslexic, with Autism Spectrum disorder. If everyone is labeled with some kind of learning disability, maybe kids won't get singled out and harassed because they have learning issues.
.AR6rider.How does a kid stab TWENTY FUCKING PEOPLE before being taken down? I mean...seriously? Nobody could fucking tackle him, hit him with a bag/book/chair/fists, throw something at him, anything?
Also, what retarded ass school tells their students to just book it when the fire alarm goes off? When I was in school, we had to get organized and walk calmly to the nearest exit with our class.
This whole situation is stupid.
special-J-have you ever walked through a crowded hallway? There's nearly 20 people within arms reach. The whole thing probably took like 10 seconds, and most kids' reactions would be to get the fuck out of the way.
-the kid pulled the fire alarm to get authorities on the scene as fast as possible (after he was stabbed, relatively badass)
-ur stpd
iFlipWord is that the kid who did this was not known as the sharpest kid in school. That has certainly changed.
JordanButtfartSo you're saying a majority of gun owners who have no intent to harm other people shouldn't be allowed to possess weapons because of a kid with homicidal/suicidal tendencies? Accessibility is relatively problematic, but I don't think people should be subject to losing their rights because of this. Trying to ban weapons is unfair to a majority of gun holders.
Imagine not being allowed to post online because some kid had to say some dumb shit that got national attention and harmed someone, it is basically the same case. And in that case, would you still post online or even frequent a website, even if it did create problems? In this scenario, you never meant harm anyone posting online or reading threads but now you cannot do it because someone else had to harm someone. It seems absurd, but it is fundamentally the same issue, and it is absurd to take away the rights of everyone because of one's wrongdoings.
And banning weapons wouldn't take all of them away from families either, it is naive to think that taking the privilege to own a gun would keep it out of the hands of people who once rightfully owned them. People don't work like that. I hope you'd be able to recognize that people will disobey laws, even if federal, if they do not see it as fair or just. Look at the 1920s with alcohol, it wasn't just gangsters who drank, most everyone drank. Just like the current debate with marijuana, not just gangsters smoke marijuana, and smoking it does not make you a stoner either, although that is the connotation - just like owning a gun does not make you a murderer, although, according to many, that is the connotation.
Bread.Cant be bothered reading the whole thing, im assuming by the first few lines that its gonna end with you saying murrka, and bitching about freedom. Everyone in a country shouldn't have guns its bloody stupid. hunting rifles? understandable, Shot guns? understandable for farmers and bird hunters, but a suburban dad that has a Ak, Handgun, shotgun, and sniper rifle? NOW THAT IS STUPID he doesn't have that to 'protect himself'. America gun laws are stupid. I dont know why you give idiots guns then act surprised and hurt when someone shots one off in a school.
Screw american gun laws they are stupid.
bring the hate.

_RonSwanson_Jesus how many times does this shit have to happen before we get some senses and outlaw all weapons. It would eliminate this type of thing.
zzzskizzzHorrific argument, because of this one isolated case. We should compare it to all the other mass killings in school, and according to the title and the new articles I've read, things could've changed by now. only one person died here and 19 injured, tell me what do you think the outcome would've been if he had a gun? And by the way totally for people owning guns, but the laws definitely need to be stricter.
theBearJewSo wait, you're saying we should be okay with one kid dead and 19 injured rather than 19 dead and 1 injured because he had a knife not a gun? Why not try to prevent this from happening at all?
I think we need to focus on why kids snap, not what they are wielding when they do.

Mr.HuckThis exactly! Not even worth arguing with him about it. It is way easier to blame the weapon, than it is to try to figure out why a kid uses it on other people.
Ever wonder why shit like this never happens at private schools? They don't have any more security. I'm not sure if I know the answer, but my guess is that it has to do with the fact that private schools are tougher on kids, they discipline for bad behavior and they are way less tolerant to bullying.
Public schools claim that they have zero tolerance for bullying, but they do nothing about it. On my freestyle team, I do not tolerate bullying at all. I tell the kids at the beginning of the season, that if I catch anyone bullying another kid on the team, that kid will end up on the magic carpets with the 3 year olds. I deal with it harshly, because bullying totally screws up the chemistry of the group, makes it less fun and kids don't progress as fast. We make sure that the kids know that they have to give props to all of their teammates. They don't have to do the sickest trick, they just have to try something new everyday they show up.
I know that it is tougher to keep order in a class room than it is in on the hill. Still, it seems like many schools have just stopped trying. They are too chickenshit to discipline kids who are treating other kids like crap in school. Kids who bring weapons to school and use them on other kids, have gotten to the point where they feel like no one at the school gives a shit about what is happening to them. It is obviously a last desperate act. I am sure that the teachers see these kids getting alienated, but this happens to tons of kids and only a few become violent. Everyone acts so surprised when a kids snaps like this, but the reality is that it could probably happen way more often than it does. I honestly believe that if kids can feel like they can come to school without other kids treating them like shit and getting away with it; tragedies like this won't happen anymore.

zzzskizzzFun fact about that scene, there was supposed to be an actual choreographed fight scene. But Indiana jones was either sick or didn't want to learn it, and said can I just shoot him instead?
theBearJewI think we need to focus on why kids snap
JAHpowHe was suffering from dysentery and needed to take a dump. That's why he's kinda hunched over as he turns.
soulskierthat's no excuse to stab 20 people
-benedettoWell assuming makes an ass out of u and me. Where in his post did he say he supported dads withs ak's? No one is giving "idiots" guns like they're on clearance at wal-mart. The fact that you end your shitty post with "bring the hate", I shouldn't have said shit because you're just a lame troll and I felt for it. However, people have the right to protect themselves. The majority of gun owners aren't shooting up schools and crowded area's. Check yourself before you wreck yourself, fool.

JAHpowLol wut? I was talking about that Indiana Jones gif.
Bread. What i do find funny is that i went to USA 2 months ago. I went to a Walmart and there were guns there for sale, a m16 look alike for $1000 or a pink rifle for 200. Oh yea there was one also on 'special'. With that in mind i would say yes, yes they are on clearance in wall mart
_RonSwanson_Jesus how many times does this shit have to happen before we get some senses and outlaw all weapons. It would eliminate this type of thing.
Link.If the kids were trained with nunchuks or some other form of non deadly weaponry they couldve taken this knife wielding cock sucker down in a heartbeat.
.Hugo.What does it matter what store they're on sale at? How is that any different than being on sale at a sporting goods store?

Bread.buy your weekly shopping
Bread. You have guns and groceries in the same shop. What that translates to me is that you are giving them out like hot cakes. You dont even need to find a gun store to get a gun. You could buy your weekly shopping, then get your money back by robbing the wall mart with the gun you just brought.
