I have a decent sized underground pool and was wonder if it is worth it to make a jump out of turf into it or is it just a waste of time

Whether or not its a waste of time is up to you, I'd just make sure the pools deep enough, because you'll need a lot of air to do anything and the more air you get, the deeper you'll go even with a life jacket.

that pool is what, 15 feet wide, max? that's not a lot of room for error. come off the jump wrong and slam your head onto the side, and that's gonna fucking hurt. plus the amount of speed that you need for a jump is so hard to get in the summer i'd say the whole thing is not even worth it.
