Is this a great deal?

Hey. I'm about to buy demo 2014 Atomic Punx with Atomic demo bindings for $235 shipped. They're in like new condition pretty much, hardly any wear. Also, if I'm 5'8", would 176s be ok? Im riding 164s now but how will the size increase translate to rails and jumps? I think it would help on groomed, especially considering the Punx are a part ski, because its longer

Sounds like a good price if you are happy with keeping the demo bindings on them. Slightly heaver and will have you a little higher off the ski, but their advantage is that you can adjust them if you want a different mount point and/or want a friend to try them.

As for size... are your current skis rockered? Rockered skis feel shorter than full camber skis, so you want to go a little longer with rocker. However, the Punx are only 20% rocker and have 80% camber, so it's not a whole lot of rocker. 176 would be great for you for an all mountain ski, but if you want them primarily as a park ski you might be better off with the 170s. The 176s would work, but may not be ideal, but it really comes down to personal preference.

Thanks. I defnitely would like them shorter and agree that they'll be great as an all mountain. I'm just not sure if i can pass up the deal.
