4ormat will let you host a website as http://yourdomain.4ormat.com for free, but honestly, I think my website costs me under $75 a year to run, thats hardly expensive for something that is almost mandatory these days. I'll admit it, I use youtube for edits. I'm trying to not clog up my vimeo so I can put more "serious" videos on it down the road. That may be something to consider, whether you'll be doing more in depth stuff later on. It's a preference thing though.

For photos, 500px. It's just so much more elegant than Flickr IMO.
