Why so much gangster music?

Why do so many play "I'm a bad ass "n" word" music on their edits?  It's been like that for a long time.  I could understand more if they were Blacks from Compton, Bronx etc. etc.
I'm sure this has been asked before.
I enjoy some good beats, so don't get me wrong, but why do you play that stuff?
Is it because you think you are all bad ass gangsters who want to be black?
Or is it to honer the Black Gangster Rap community?
I remember getting Dr. Dre's Chronic years ago.  I still love it plus others.  I just don't understand all the N-word shit all the time.  It's really getting old.

Yea, I should not have asked these questions.  One thing is that it has nothing to do with anyone personally.  You are all great skiers.

Yes, I do like much of the rap music that say nigga all the time, so it's not like I'm dissin' the music.
I have friends that do it on their edits.  It just seems a bit overdone to me.  I guess it reflects the badassness of the skiers. 

The one guy said because they like it (the music).  Why else would you use it?

Has anyone ever seen an edit to Michael Jackson's "Bad"?  I bet not as of late!

I knew I was in trouble from the first comment!

Funny, but just for the record I don't eat white bread or drink milk!  Also I have love for all people of character no matter the color.

I also don't judge people.  We are all born the same. 

Again, looks like I asked a stupid question, but was curious about responses.

But yeah just different preferences. For me I like listening to gangster rap to hype up for working out or pregaming because it talks about thing's I'll never do or experience. like gang banging and shooting niggas and what not, all that stuff is so outside of my lifestyle that its almost taboo, and therefore exciting. Plus you cant beat dem sick beatz

Nice answer.  Maybe that's why like some of it too.  Some of it give a glimpse of what a Gang Banger life might be like.
As far as the music it's usually good.  It's just too much nigga said too often.  I guess if one is a black they have that right, but many in their community don't like it. 
Again, I don't judge anyone.

My main question was why so much of it on skiing edits.   You like it.  Okay.

I feel like some of the reason is the beat in the song. With a good bass line in a song it is easy for an editor to link up a drop in the beat with the landing of a trick.

In response to the thread, Jacques, it seems to just be the trend that has taken over skiing in my generation. I personally enjoy quality hip-hop, and most edits I see have quality taste in hip-hop. I don't know if the people using the music think they have a life like is portrayed in the music, but I doubt they do.

It doesn't seem to me like the goal is to create the image of a thug lifestyle, but rather use the sweet, flowy, cool sounding beats and badass lyrics to compliment the flow of the footage.

I know full well what a troll is, and Jacques is the opposite of a troll. When he makes a post, it's an honest question, concern, interest, or otherwise. Again, if you know a little about the guy, you'd know this.

Even within this thread, you can see he honestly is just curious and is not looking for backlash.

Well in the end I would say that it is a good thing to honor the music makers whatever music one chooses. Maybe one day I too will make an edit with some bumping music from some black hip-hop artist. And just maybe they will say nigga.

Again, I have nothing against anyone who uses Gangster Rap in any edits.

Bad ass skiers and boarders.......bad ass music!

I could have just asked a few young friends, but I thought here I might get a bit more education and consensus on the question stupid as it was.
