so after being on the team for since he was 15, b dog finally gets a pro model ski, any thoughts on what its flex rating will be? or how it will ski? or just thoughts in general about the ski which will be available for purchase next season, for me i hope's its a more durable, skinnier version of the al dente. Please note i've only seen photos of it and not any dimensions or anything. But yeah big ups to b dog for getting a pro model
i made a thread about this when i first made my NS account saying that B dog should get a pro model ski never thought i'd see the day where he'd get one!
I'm pretty sure the halo 2 just becomes phil's pro model. I saw a grainy picture of it, I think it's a kind of brownish, patterned graphic, but I might be mistaken.
you could very well be right, but the Halo 2 is basically Hornbeck's ski. I know it's not official or anything, but it's what he always rides, whereas Phil rides the Dente most of the time. that just makes me suspicious it may be an all new ski! (like I said, just speculation, no idea if I'm right or not)
oh okay. I guess I just missed the mark entirely... it's kind of weird that Henrik, on the Am team, got a pro model before Phil, who is on the Pro team...?
armada teams dont really mean much, the pro team is all people that have been with the company since nearly the beginning, the am team is the newer riders. henrick is a skier that a lot of people look up to, and has a ton of comp wins, etc. so armada gave him a pro model as part of his contract when he signed with them. that wasnt part of phils contract, and they had skis in the lineup that perfectly suited him, so why would they create a new one for him. now that he's popular enough and rides only one ski, it makes sense to make it his pro model
Its a soft ski, but i doubt its as soft as the el dente (at least in the nose) and those ski just fine as an all mtn ski. Given they are much wider. But yes this is going to be a park specific ski, and I think a good one if it fits your needs/style.
No the Halo model has always had 5 dimensions, pretty sure i heard its the exact same model as the halo 2 just with a new name. which would make sense since flex and dimensions are all the same
Kinda funny, this year and next year they will have come out with 5 different models that don't have 5 dimensions (counting the arvw, ARVti, and al dente as different skis).
