You can draw pretty much anything in sketchup. I have drawn full slope courses, park layouts, tons of individual features, and dirt work proposals. Plus lots of non skiing related stuff.

i used to be good at sketchup but it was before i was into freeskiing. it was in like fifth grade. i learned at school and i could make the dopest mansions with pools and couches on the insides and stuff

I don't recall exactly but the sphere is a diameter of about 38 inches and it stands about 7ft. tall i think.

Im kinda laughing how 2007 this is...double s rail, double rainbow, and you can kinda see the same trap rail/uprail-gap-down rail combo they had back at park city that was in shanghai six.

so you will prob die if you fall off a rail, cause you will hit the rail next to it every time...

It's nice to be able to show people in advance what you're building. Works well for contests. Also if you're trying to get money to build a feature. Instead of trying to explain what you're doing you can show them a 3d rendering and exactly how much material it will take.

A rail jam last year

Rail jam from earlier this month.

I've got the entire rail fleet built in sketchup so I can pull anything out at any time and toy around with different thoughts.

I still build plenty of stuff on the fly but for full park builds and contests setups it's a nice tool.

I built 1/3 of them in sketchup last season before I built them for real. Also used the models to get some funding for the materials.

Built the dfd in different sizes and angles. Was originally going to do 12x6x12 but decided to up the downs to 14'. Also went with 12 degrees in the end. I wanted something decent length but still be smooth, trickable, and not super intimidating.

I knew what I wanted but staring at the exact angles in Skecthup helped me get it where I wanted it.

1/3 ish of the features in that we bought from another mountain. I just took full measurements of them and build them individually in sketchup. Put all of them together into that pile so that I could show people the stuff we had for this years park.

Started building this 8'x12' wallride but she got buried under ice and snow before it got stood up. Might try to get it out this spring or just save it for next year lol

I'm not an expert on skethup so there could be far better ways to do it but this is what I've been doing.

I just use the arc tool and make a straight line 20' and then pull it out 1.5' then do the same on the other side. For the top sheets I had lines going across in little boxes or it wasn't showing the surface and I just right click hid them so the top and sides are smooth looking.

The curves in sketchup are made up of straight lines(at least what I'm using) So I just linked each side at those points and then hid them.

I've never taken a class or red any tutorials so there are probably easier ways.

Or just make one side and then push pull it. You can use the offset tool if you are making a c or s box. Move copy would work as well. Hold down option (on a mac) while using the move tool.

When I was in High school I took a drafting and design class and we used SketchUp mostly. All the other kids made houses and shit I made the craziest parks everyday. It was the best class, I wish I kept some of those files.

Haha i def thought about that, especially since it looks like their rendering/graphic was done in sketchup. Honestly though, It's a pretty simple concept to think of. I mean, i thought of it back in 2007. Id be happy with a free red bull though
