Should transgender boys be allowed to play on girls sports teams?

Under california's transgender law they are. Personally i feel that would create an unfair advantage, because he has the physiology of a male, so i say no. What do you think, what are your reasons?

as long as they're playing soccer or some other sport where you can't just beat the shit out of someone (hockey, martial arts, etc) i don't really see a problem. the physical advantage doesn't bother me much as long as you're not giving your opponent traumatic brain injuries or snapping their spine.

well they've given the women the option to choose whether or not they fight her (transgendered fighter), because although she still has the bone structure/reflexes of a man she doesn't have the skill or talent of the best female fighters.

No way. No matter what his/her mind or genitals say, that person would annihilate natural born females in softball. It would be horribly unfair.

Transgender is a choice. He's not just gay, he paid to have his genitals remade and should be only able to play for a men's team.

Of course not. What if a semipro guy skier decided to switch sex and now just because he can double he is now winning all the girl comps. Physically men>women, deal with it. It's the truth and has been for hundreds/thousands of years. Just because their dick is cut off doesn't mean they don't have the muscle capability and testosterone of a guy.

Yeah but if this is varsity softball, where some of these girls are counting on schoolarships, it's not fair to be competing for top spot with a literal guy who will be sluggin hits left and right againts them. If you gave an athletic guy a month to pick up and play softball, they could easily get a top varsity spot on a female team. Once it becomes okay for highschoolers, then it will be okay for colleges, and then who knows, maybe even pro.

Either way, this "girl" is still a guy, just without her dick. She shouldn't be playing on a girls team while being a guy

Yes. There is no such thing as the Christian race. There is, and has been for thousands of years, the conception of the Jews as a race or ethnicity. In WW II, having Jewish grandparents was deemed enough to have you brought to a concentration camp and gassed.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you aren't old enough yet to go to middle school and take an actual history class, instead of just assuming you're a moron.

I am more than old enough to have taken an actual history class. Am actually old enough to have graduated college and taken two trips to Israel.


I am more than aware of the idea that Judaism is often considered a race by many. But it is also a religion. You can argue both that it is a race and is a religion. If someone wants to convert to Judaism, would they be converting into a race or just converting to a new religion?

There are two valid arguments on both sides of Judaism as a race and as religion.

Obviously it's a religion. But, again, there is the idea of a Jewish etnicity. There are certain physical features that are almost universally accepted as distinctly Jewish. There have been plenty of times throughout history when possessing these physical traits has been enough for a person to be persecuted or discriminated against.

Surely you agree that being born with these traits is beyond one's control? And, in this sense, no, being Jewish is not a choice the way being a Christian is a choice.

I can agree with some of that. The problem I have is there are some people who are not of "Jewish heritage" who share the physical traits that are tied to what most people accept as distinctly Jewish.

The main issue I have with considering Judaism as a race and not just a religion is that I feel this idea was fueled by Anti-Semitic thoughts. So far the two times you have referenced history have been followed by persecution, discrimination, and the Holocaust.

There is a reason they are transgender. They are females, well and truly, born with a penis. Thats it. Yes, they should be able to play on girls sports teams, for the same reason that if a trans man (I think thats the proper way to write it) wanted to play on a men's team he (gender correct pronouns are important) should be able to.


Additionally, this is an increasingly big deal in professional soccer leagues. Basically, the rules in FIFA say that if you still have a male sex organ, you qualify as a man and thus cannot play on female teams, however its a very fluid interpretation of the law (as best my understanding is).

not to say all men are built and all women are scrawny, but in most sports a "female in a man's body" is going to have an overwhelming physical advantage playing/competing against other females.

I've never done any research into transgenderes, but I do know in the olden days if you were born of hermaphrodite. The doctor would just choose if you were a boy or girl and sometimes they picked incorrectly. Today we have tests and you can tell what genes the hermaphrodite was born with and see if they were made to be a boy or a girl. However that being said I actually have no idea if they're just born with a penis and not the glands produce testosterone, or if they're born with all the positive attributes with being a male.
