So i ski at perisher in Australia and there are alot of gapers there and anyways and i was just skiing the intermediate park and just minding my business and i was shaping the lip with my skis as heaps of gapers had used it for a "gnarly jump", so i was sliding down it and making it smooth and this family come in and then the dad skis down to the rail and says to me "can you get off the jump i want to video my kids getting some air" and to that i told him "excuse me sir but this is a lip to a rail and should not be used as a jump" to which he replies "do you own the park?" and so i explained to him what i was doing with making the lip smooth again after people like him had used it for a jump, so his wife ski down and then asks what the problem is and her husband goes this disrespectful teenager is not letting our kids hit this jump and then the wife has a go at me saying that she has paid for her pass and she is allowed to use the mountain how she wishes. So i was just like fuck it and went on my mary way to get away from them and then down at the lift line his family skis down and inquires to a ski patrol member that i was being rude and disrespectful and not letting his family use the lip as a jump and then the ski patrol member just set the family straight and said no you should not be using lips as jumps etc if you want a beginner park go over the smiggins blah blah blah and all in all it was just a tedious waste of time.
So i'm wondering has anyone else on NS been lectured or told off by a member of the public when you were clearly in the right about the etiquette of the park???
