and, as the comments of that article, and some comments in here point out. The judging was inconsistent from qualifiers to finals.
Sage threw a similar run in qualifiers as he did in finals, the quali run didn't score him high enough to get a spot in the finals, but when he threw a similar run with a 1620 off the last jump, it's a gold metal run.
Max threw a run in qualifiers that got him a 97 and top spot going into finals. In finals he threw a similar run but with a clean, stomped triple off the last jump and got a 87 and 5th place.
That is some pretty fucked up judging all within one event (imo).
