Volkl Kink - Anyone ski on it?

Just looking for some input on the Volkl Kink...Looking for a park ski that will also ski all mountain fairly well... average park skier, above average all mountain skier.

I have them and think they are a ton of fun. What are your stats ( height, weight etc)?

I'm 6ft, 165lbs....
I've skied the walls, and some atomic patents...both those were really stiff, but I liked the shape of them being symetrical skis.

Get the 179cm, really fun, much softer than the other two you mentioned.

I agree, the kink is a really fun, it's playful but still really stable. The 179 would be perfect

they are fucking sick, i had a pair and loved em for everything, soft and playfull, yet somehow chargable, and thats coming form a guy who skis a slalom 99% of the time

Okay got a pair of 179 and mounted some px jib 12's on them...I mounted them boot center over the +6 mark on the ski...When I measured out the ski it felt and looked right to me...what does +2.5 mean?

Isn't +6 still around -6 from true centre? I thought thats what it measured out to when I saw them in person.

I was saying that you should mount them -2.5 cm from true center.

Bump. I have the 2013 version and they ski great. They're mounted at the +5 freestlye mark. But they feel pretty far back. Does anyone know how far this is from true center.

Why don't you use a tape measure and figure it out instead of asking random people on the interwebs

I'm pretty sure, since I measured it a few months back, that true centre is +6 FROM the Freestyle mark. Volkl only puts true centre as a mount point on their symmetrical skis.

sorry for bringing up this old thread, i was wondering about the flex of this ski, is it avarage? or more flexy than usual, i am saving for a more wider ski pair of park, im coming from the line step up, is it to much the difference?

im 5,10 180lbs

I tried my friends pair that was center mounted and I think that should be the only place to mount them if you do a majority of park. They felt great and carved amazingly. Most of the racers that go into the park at my mountain get kinks or head caddy's so that should say something
