Guide for a chalet company is the best job I had, my week was literally this:
Monday - Morning guide, blue slopes only
Tuesday - Morning guide blue slopes only/Afternoon guide blues/reds
Wednesday - Red guide
Tuesday nothing
Friday Private guides
Saturday - 3 valleys guide (Val thorens/Meribel/Cour Cheval)
Sunday transfer day.
Great Tips, 9/10 times you get lunch bought for you and you have loads of time to ski yourself as well as being on the hill all day!
My buddy is telling me now that non licenced guiding is now illegal in france... sorry
Stay away from bar work, you finish late generally hung over and tired.
Chalet hosts are the best jobs, you do have to work mornings nd evenings but you get on the hill by 10am and the work is pretty social. Good tips and you have loads of people to ride with.
What resort are you going to?

Enough with the internet questions dude. Pick where you want to live, move there now and look for work and a place to live. It really is that simple.
To be less of a dick about it, yes I have friends who drive 40 hour weeks and ski 100+ days per year. Avoid jobs requiring day to day interaction with tourists at all costs.
