East Coast VS West Coast Riders

What's the biggest difference you notice in the (2) riding styles?

East coast skiers, like the Line crew, tend to have a more creative jib style because on the east coast we are forced to think outside of the box since there are typically worse parks and less snow.

during ski season skiing comes before everything else. Because seasons are so much shorter east coast skiers I think have more of a drive to go ski as much as they can. But on the hill everyone has their own personal styles.

East coast skiers are from the east, west coast skiers are more from the west. Simple as that

as far as raw skiing technique goes, i find that hard core east coasters tend to have a more forward stance, more aggressive turn initiation, and rely more heavily on weighting their downhill ski cause we gotta grip on the ice, while west coasters that skied pow and soft conditions while learning generally have a more flowy/loose style, with their stance a little more back and more weight on their uphill ski

but really though we've been over this 1,000 times....

east is generally a bit more creative and rail oriented

west is a bit more park jock and big dub oriented

but it's called "free"style for a reason and people out of everywhere shine at their own shit

you guys are leaving out the MID WESTERNERS, i mean what the fuck we have it the worst, no hills, barley any snow, and shitty weather and our parks suck. case closed MW skiiers are the most creative.

You know what sucks here on the East? Falling on ice. Rails= the smaller the fall and USUALLY doesn't hurt as bad, unless you hit the rail.

I feel like out West people can practice jump tricks into Pow. So they can not worry about getting hurt as much.

Also, East coasters are probably better at skiing groomers and I think people on the West are better at the pow.

I wish we had pow :(

Its already been said multiple times, but the biggest difference is east coast skiers are arguably better than west coast skiers at rails.  However, west coast skiers destroy east coasters on jumps.

This is because in the east the landings are straight ice, so most people dont feel like absolutely destroying themselves day in and day out

I don't really think that east coast skiers and west coast skiers are really that much different when it comes to rail game, but on jumps west coast has got it.
The only east coast dudes that I have noticed that are more creative on rails are the TC guys, I don't really think I have seen anybody else that has been as creative as them. I also don't think the stept guys are more creative per say, but they are much much more aggressive than anybody else.
