Stupid things you've done in the park

So the Sugarloaf apology thread got revived and it made me think, how many of us have done stupid things in the park? I'll start....

I'll start, One day I was skiing switch and lazily looking over my shoulder when I hear a YO DUDE LOOK OUT! I flip around and am a less then a foot to slamming into a park crew kid shaping up the side of a lip. I did some mission impossible wizzardry and just touched his jacket as i flew by. I stopped and apologized and at first he was like dude WTF?? but then he said it was alright and just be careful. So in closing, I am sorry Blue Mountain park crew kid.

Who else has got one?

This didn't happen to me, but i thought its a story that should be told. It was early in the season so our park wasn't really open, so my friend and I were just going down the mountain catching air off anything we could. There was a bump where a trail crossed ours, so you couldn't see farther down the trail. My friend decided to blindly launch off this bump and proceeded to fly feet first into the head of some random Asian woman. She was probably unharmed, but her father came over and ripped my friend a new asshole. I watched from the side trying my best not to laugh

My friend tried to hand drag a small table/jump and ended up drop kicking a 7 year old girl that he didn't see with the bases of skis. She flew a solid 10 feet.

When I was about 9 or 10 I was going off a 15 foot jump, where when I landed it was different. It was not on snow, but it was on a human. I landed on kid that was hurt and laying on the landing cause he couldn't move. Lets just say I didn't go back to that mountain for a while.

First run of the season, riding on brand new skis and boots, head straight to the park. I don't even scope any lines, rails, or jumps. I just go up to the first box and try to pop on that's when I realize the lips about a foot below the top of the box. The centre of my skis were still on the takeoff when my right ski gets the tip stuck between the white sliding part of the box and the wood.

I swear my knees bent forward until my right boot ejected and I was sliding on my face off the box.

No, I've gotten that shit at Bachelor.  I was wearing tight pants and a flannel and almost exploded a kid who was standing on the outrun of the step up they usually build.  I landed switch and took to long to spot over my shoulder and you know the rest.  The kids mom who was nearby started screaming at me about how I wanted to be some "urban criminal" and whatever.  I was kind of drunk so that is the only thing I remember her yelling before I just stared at her and skated away.

I did a 180 on this small jump and I was looking over my left shoulder and there was a boarder to the right of me and we collided and he fell, but I was still up. I helped him up and said sorry at least thrice and he was really cool about it.

I was cruisin down to the sunday river jib park, almost took out some bitch at the bottom of a roller I just boosted. Then I got to the park entrance and was chillin looking up to see if anything was to come of the close call. Sure enough a fairly sized man was crumbing after me.... I waited watched him ski up to me. He didn't slow down and just ran into me, so i fell over. I got back up then proceeded to laugh in his face and ski off and hit some shit.

Not in the park, but I'm still stupid. got on the chairlift with my friend and started to butter my tips as i sat down and accidentally dug my tips in to the ground basically dumping my friend off the chair but somehow i was still on the lift haha

late in the day my friend and brother were both hitting the takeoff of about a 35 foot jump at the same time. It just so happens that some little kid was chillin on the knuckle of the jump (he must have rolled over the takeoff and been moving like a snail because this is at gore mountain where they put little fences up next to the takeoff so its either hit the jump or go around) my brother misses the kid but my friend literally lands his nuts on the back of the kids neck. The kid basically super high-impact face planted to forward roll and was bleeding out everwhere. My brother and friend hung around for a little to make sure the kid wasnt dying.

not really stupid on their part but funny as hell nonetheless

one day i was super ballsy and just completely hucked myself off a jump and hoped for the best.

i ended up starting a spin and sitting back, like i was going into a flatspin, and that just turn to a nasty flail and i totally fucked up my neck.

hasn't been right since. that was about 7 years ago.

rolled into the park switch and all of a sudden just stopped. the was a girl on a board wearing all white not a speck of color anywhere just laying on the ground. basically stabbed her with my skis and rolled over her and somehow landed on my feet.

Wasnt in the park, but i was skiing switch and i dont know what was up this guys ass but this like 60 year old dude starting cussing me out when i got down to the lift line about it wasnt real skiing and kept goin on about me being a dumbass. Of course this guy was telemark skiing and taking up the entire trail with his turns and saying he was really skiing. Then he threatened to kick my ass if i didnt ski right. Pretty sure he was on cocaine or meth or something haha. Another time an asshole friend of mine took my skis and lowered the din to 3 without me knowing. 25 footer at the top of a jump line and both skis popped off on take off, that was fun

pow day in the park, feeling like a baller, try to use an edge while going way too fast on flatish ground, catch tip, tomahawk like 5 times, all this happened right beside the park lift.

I know that feel man. Did this around 5 years ago on a school ski trip and it resulted in me buying a helmet cause I hit my head so hard on the flat and scared the shit out of me.

Skiing with the REAL LIFE KANGBANG one day this season, I reverted from switch and hit some dumb snowboarder in the back with my tails pretty hard, I was going sorta fast. I realize that since I was switch, I am in the wrong, but that dinkus snowboarder does not need to be sitting down in the middle of the run about 15 feet in front of the entrance to the park.

Most of the time the only stupid things in the park are little kids that shouldnt be there or parents attending to the little kids that shouldnt be.. Unless youre just being an ignorant asshole most kids things do in the park are fun. Its others that need to check their shit.

Cab 5 on a 25 table. Under rotate slightly and ski pops off, my break was being a little sketchy and caught on the ski so it didnt well break..

The ski proceeded to gain speed down the landing of the jump and head toward the lip of a rail where a 5 year old girl was riding over. Needless to say it took her out completely losing no speed and ended up in a ditch.

Her dad yelled at me saying I could have killed his kid so I apologized and went and got my ski.

It was early on in the season and the park didn't have any features yet just a bunch of mounds from snow making. It was one of the first days of the season so we were all hyped bombing down first run of the day buttering around and catching tranny on the bumps. I went pretty quick into one about 15-20 feet tall that had a pretty gradual run in so I figured the other side would be the same WRONG barely any slope on the other side at all so that was a nice OHHHH FUCK to flat moment last year

we placed a little christmass tree in front of an up rail, lit it on fire and proceded to session it for 5 minutes until we had to leave or get caught.

My friend regularly pees off of the chairlift onto the snowpark, we jump off of the chair, hit a guy in the face with a massive snowball ( he had a fullface on so I didnt feel bad) boot ski from top to bottom, 70 person train and probably a lot more that I forget.

tried to 50-50 to front flip off a rainbow box on my friends pair of skis I rode for one run. The skis were way too buttery and I landed perfectly on my dome from 6' up. Knocked out so hard I stopped breathing for a couple minutes. Called mercy flight but I came to like a boss and sent the flight back. But now my memory is complete shit. Any i straight up dont remember a whole month of last year of when it happened which includes my birthday and christmas.

There was a big group of kids waiting to hit the jump line and, feeling badass, I snaked them all and went to do a big back flip off the first one to "Reinforce" my coolness. But instead I caught my tips right before I brought it around and slid down the landing on my stomach. Serves me right I guess.
