My house is being taken over by Millipedes.

For real. Me and my brother were forced to spend 15 minutes outside to cut down their numbers. We must've killed at least 30 without stepping off of our back porch. They've easily become one of my top 5 fears from this ordeal alone.

Now the confusing part; I've seen only around 3 in my entire life prior to this year. Why was there such an incredible spike in their numbers?

I guess I'm just venting my frustration by making this thread. Anybody else experience something similar? Anybody in the same boat as me regarding my genuine fear of these foul creatures?

But I don't know, I've only seen millipedes and bug zoos and stuff, never in nature.

I actually fear that their occupation of my porch is just a front, a distraction of types for some other operation to be hatched later tonight while I sleep...

Im guessing its an older house with lots of mature trees??? First clear all of the old leaves and yard debris and whatever other shit has gathered around the foundation of your house, clean it all up to about 2 feet away. Then go to a hardware store and get the powder that kills them off and spread it around the house in that clear area. Also put some on window sills inside the basement. I had an older house and had the same problem

Oh fuck if this was my house, I would never go back in. I dislike bugs, but I fucking despise millipedes or centipedes... that shit is so fucking nasty and kills me anytime I see them.

And they all returned in full force. Larger numbers than what were witnessed last night. There are about the same number, but they aren't scattered around, they are all at the door. I wish I could post pictures, but I'm on mobile.
