Right now I am riding the 2002 Salomon 720's and i am getting sick of them and need some new skis. I was looking at the Salomon 1080's and the Line Chronics. I do mostly park but once in a while i will go out of the park. What ski is better in the park and whats better on just the normal hill. I heard that the chronics aren't so good on normal downhill runs but thats why i am asking you guys what the real truth is. How do the chronics hold up everwhere on the hill and how do the 1080's hold up. If you could help me out that would me awesome. What ski am i better off going with??

construction wise, there's no contest. The Chronics take it.

I have a few sets of 1080's and love em. Foam core or not. The carve well on the groomers and are pretty stable at speeds. I have a brand new set of 151 1080s if your intrested in buying them.

yeah, im going against the majority with my vote for 1080's. i like them a lot, they're fine out of the park, and with an 80mm waist, they're not bad with float...chronics are definitely gonna be stiffer, i've never skied them though.i'll have to do that this season to just to see how they ski
..about the foam core, foam cores are fine, in the beginning they used to break down, but now foam doesnt break down nearly as easily...foam is more predictable and light

The Chronics for sure. I have had problems with 1080's and delamenation. Chronic is supposed to have superior construction.

Ok yes, teneighties delam, and every ski has their quirks, find one of the two that works for you.
I have an absolute shitload of fun on them and if they delam within a year they get replaced... The things I like about my teneighties mainly come from stabilility and floatation, on the rare day, that, god-forbid, my forsaken town gets powder or I feel like actually skiing on soft stuff I can still charge as hard as most people. The teneighties absolutely wallow in moguls, and that's probably the weekest part... outside of that stable, poppy, turn easy.
