yes.......its like in racing...(yes i race) if you lean back you will go faster cuz there is less pressure applied to the fronts of the skis.....however you lose control with this.....the farther forward your skis are mounted the slower you will technically go...however the increases control and balance are worth it...all the way..the speed loss isnt that noticable

It does for sure. Has to do with where your weight is on the ski, and where the friction is being created.

you just gotta get ur skis a bit longer, def makes up for the speed loss, which is no big deal
