Shaun White is in a band.

Twenty-six-year-old Shaun White is world famous for his snowboarding and skateboarding feats — winning two Olympic gold medals and more X-Games medals than anybody else. But did you know that he also has a band? The modern-day Renaissance man plays lead guitar for the rock band Bad Things. And he’s pretty good at it.

Bad Things musicians are Davis LeDuke (singer), Jared Palomar (bass), Anthony Sanudo (guitar), Lena Zawaideh (drums) and Shaun White (guitar). The group landed a record deal with Warner Brothers and expect to release their debut album later this year. Rob Schnapf, known for working with Beck, Elliot Smith and The Vines, will produce the album.

The band is currently touring and drumming up hype for the album release. Bad Things played their first New York City show on July 11, 2013, at Santo’s Party House, sharing the bill with X Ambassadorsand We Are Scientists.

Though known for his animated personality, Shaun White blends in with the band members on stage. Sporting his shorter haircut, White was positioned at the side of the stage with his guitar, belting out back-up vocals here and there. Frontman Davis LeDuke was the one commanding the audience’s attention, dancing emphatically around the stage, banging on a lone drum to emphasis the beat and jumping into the crowd during a self-proclaimed “dance song.”

Lol too bad nobody else in the band will get any publicity at all. It might be called Bad Things, but it will forever be known as Shaun White's Band.

that actually was surprisingly good.

but like someone else said, his fame is bound to only mask and therefore ruin the band in the long run. they will gain many fans because of Shawn white, and many people will hate them because its Shawn white. and then there will be many hipsters complaining that people who like them only like them because its Shawn white. then it will be deemed uncool to listen to them because it is Shawn white.

I went to Tahoe for spring break this winter and stayed with a buddy who goes to SNC. When he told me that Shuan was training at Northstar, I decided I needed to give him a pro call out at some point that week. Just as I was getting to the bottom of the park chair at Northstar I saw Shaun getting on the lift one day. Seeing him, I raced through the fast pass lane with my friends to the front of the lift line to catch up. I figured that I would catch him at the top of the hill before he went off to his super exclusive private half pipe that I would get my pass pulled if I came within 500 feet of. Unfortunately, he was just starting to ride away as I reached the top of the lift, to I yelled "HEY SHAUN, I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE YOU'RE PRO, I'M SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOU!" as the top of my lungs. He stopped, looked up, and started yelling shit at me, but we were all laughing too hard to hear him.
