Suggestions for New Skis Needed

Hey NS,

So I am looking for a pair of:

-Cheap (I am totally cool with getting a previous years model)
-Very very light in weight
-Twin Tips (obviously)
-And something really short, (like maybe a 150 or 147, but not a kids ski)
-I also want something really durable so I don't need to freak about breaking them.

I currently have a non true center mounted pair of twins that are 161s and I like them but as I progress in park I need something I can ride strictly in the park that are really small and light so I can whip around 3s and 5s and 2s on and off rails with more ease. Please no hate on my decision for shorter skis, I get that it's the cheap way out but I just need a pair to throw around.

Im 5 foot 8.
my price range is anything below 240ish

If you are 5'8 you should get ski around at least 170. Spinning will not be too much harder and you will be a shit ton more stable.

Ya Ik I agree. But long story short I need a pair of REALLY super short skis. like 150s.

Nobody on NS is ever going to recommend short skis.... and they're right. Nobody here can really give you advice about short skis either, since none of us have much experience riding 150's - a specific ski at 180 will ski nothing like the same ski at 150.

As an instructor I wouldn't even recommend a first-time-ever beginner to ride 150's at 5'8" unless they were really light/unathletic/uncoordinated. 

The only thing I can tell you is that you should probably stay away from the softer skis since they will feel even more flexy at such a short length due to the leverage of a taller skier.

that is probably the dumbest thing ever but if no one can change you mind and your set on getting short skis, punx go to 155 and ar7 161 those are two good skis

Why are you remounting? If your gonna use the same ski I would just keep it the same and detune the edges for park rails.

Center mounting only make sense when you have a symetrical ski. My AR7s are mounted at -2.5 from center and they slay everywhere.
