Seizures while skiing

has anyone ever had a seizure from hitting their head really hard while skiing? happened to me 2 days ago at momentum, shit was buck

That is a sign of a pretty serious concussion. Hope you were brought off the mountain to get checked at the medical center ASAP and taking a few days off

That's not good at all. Be VERY careful in the meantime. If you hit your head again right after that could do some really bad things for you. Go and get checked out ASAP, explain the situation, and lay low for a little while until they say you're good to go.

The brain can bounce back from beating the hell out of it, but at the same time it's still the main part of your body keeping you going. You fuck it up too much and it might never work the same, or even risking worse.

Also if you don't wear one, wear a helmet. From someone with several head injuries I always go out with one these days. It doesn't take much to rock my world.

I think you have to be very careful not hitting your head again after having already hit it. The second one can have very serious consequences even if very minor. The brain can go into a cytokine cascade.

Maybe get some Ginko Biloba tea and just take a chill pill and try to get access to some vids from Evan's private collection or something supercool like that.

I forgot about this edit, I've watched it many a times. Always cringed watching that first shot of him hitting his head on that tree, and that's wicked unlucky to have happened.

I can't imagine having a seizures while on the hill.

Sometimes skiing can give me a migraine and that shit is so fucking bad. But a seizure... that would suck

I've had 3 concussions in my life, all of which I don't remember occurring, but apparently I was convulsing a tad after one.

i hit my head, got knocked the fuck out, had a seizure, regained consciousness for 20 seconds, another seizure, shit and pissed myself, and took a ride to the hospital.

shits not the most fun, but i dont remember any of it, so i dont really care anymore. its a story to me as much as it is to anyone i tell.

I've ony witnessed it. I was waiting for a buddy to hit a jump for his first try on a rodeo 5 and a dude can out of know where and completely cased. Double ejection and starts seizen up. I freak and held him down until patrol came. Broke his nose and jaw. Scariest thing I've ever seen.

We were on a trip up in Montana and my friend didn't see this cliff lol and went off about a 10 footer (pretty big if you're not ready for it/ expecting it lol) and landed straight on his face.

We talked to him, he said he was fine and sat there for a little, so we kept going... all of a sudden we got to the lift line and we were like, "where the hell is riley"

We walked back up and he was sitting there puking. We took him to the local hospital and he had a concussion. Then we went back to the hotel and he had a seizure.

So yeah, but it was after he was skiing.

Get that shit checked out. Don't fuck around. Convulsions after a concussion are not a good sign. Could mean some fucked up shit like internal bleeding and whatnot.
