Just finished up this recruitment video. Hadn't done this type of project before so from a content standpoint the storyboard was a little strange to put together. Would love to hear thoughts/opinions. filmed on t2is

Dude that was fucking on point. Great job. Like really good job.

The ONLY thing I'd see that could be revised is the text for the names. I think you should layer it over a small black or white bar because sometimes you can't read it against the background.

But seriously, otherwise, great filming and editing. I really liked how you did the interviews with the dynamic camera movement and zooming and such. Great colors.

I dug that a lot but had to stop playing after a minute.

I felt like they were all saying more or less the same thing about how its a startup and how everyone works together. but visually it didnt look like a place id want to work at. id say if you have the opportunity try and get a few more shots of people in offices that look more 'official'

id also get rid of one of your first shots that has all the monitors with the MS logo on the screen, especially while the VMturbo logo is above it. no need to give microsoft screen time.

maybe get the aperture a bit higher on some of those interview shots (in the future). there was one shot in particular of a woman taken from cameramans right of her that was a bit out of focus, and you would have captured more of it if the aperture was a bit higher-

though at the same time your low aperture shots help counter the point I made earlier about the workspace feeling too cluttered etc.

overal though that was badass man, great work! did you have a lav mic for your interview shots? maybe try and cut down some repetitive stuff in the earlier interviews and get quicker to what VMturbo actually does, not how its new, innovative, and you have new employees working with bosses. I guess if this is for new employees though or potential employees, they should already know enough about the company.

completely agree, would have like to ask them to talk about the company more... but I'm also working on another project for them that is more informative about the company itself- so i was trying to keep the two separate. had a lav and a shotgun, and used a bit of both depending on the pickup of ambient noise

Blatant shot of the mic at 1:08. Other than that I really liked it. Having two cameras helped liven it up.

as mentioned before, there was a shot of the mic/boom which i thought felt kinda out of place. also i'm not really sure how i felt about some of the zooms in the earlier interviews, they felt kind of distracting to me.

other than that i liked it alot, it was clean, audio was great and seemed to present the company in a really good way. really good work!
