These old white folk need to be taken out of the supreme court ASAP. The system does not work and this a prime example of it. How they thought this was a good idea, I'll never know. I wonder how long it takes until this country crumbles.

You do realize the Supreme Court just determines the constitutionality of a law. They must have thought in the recent uses of the act that is went against the constitution thus must not be allowed

You do realize if this wouldn't have happened the same districts would have been in place for another 250 years.

The vast majority of the districts that NEED restructuring are because they've become too segregated naturally.

Funny how shit that was supposed to prevent segregation intern is enforcing it.

The United states is progressing, you're ignorant to think we aren't.

OP is fucking retarded. The south doesn't hate minorities (as much), and therefore, the law is irrelevant in modern day. That's why they removed a, what is now, useless law. If anything, keeping it would be the conservative decision.

so many people are freaking out over this, it was removed because it only applied to southern states, it will probably brought back for all states soon enough (or removed entirely because no state is just going to ban minorities from voting out of the blue nowadays)
