Don't know the answer, but really don't think it makes a fucking difference as the springs are designed so beefy that they should not have there properties changed while in the range of motion of there design.
But what I do know and make sure I do after the binders have been sitting all off season or longer is to turn the din to max and then down to min and then to my setting and then make sure the bindings get moved in all their release motions, both for the heal and toe before they are skied on for the first time in the new season. This makes sure nothing got stuck or seized while they were sitting.
