GOPRO RIG ________cliff jumping

what sort of rig do you guys use for cliff jumping.

 concerns:

-  losing the camera on impact

-  need for bouyancy

find a little floaty ball or something you can attach to it, then you can just hold it and not worry about it.

i saw one where they cut off a peice of one of those foam pool noodles and tied a string through the middle tube part and then through a bar mount. cheap and easy. you could also just use a chest mount or wrist mound

You can get a floaty back door for the housing, use it all the time for white water kayaking.

get a couple of those boating key floaty devices, attach them to the mount and tape them to the back of the housing. test to see if it floats.
as far as rigging it to anything, just hold it or put it on a stick. a rig takes a lot of effort and usually breaks on impact

on second thought, if you have a camelback, try putting a stick up from one of those. they are small enough to swim around with and whatnot. they are very ajustable and you can probably mount a gopro from there and do cool flips n shit

make a leash ... i made one, and when the camera goes out, the leash secure it!

Put a string through the mounting holes on the bottom of the enclosure, then put that around your wrist. Duct tape a piece of a pool noodle to the pack so it floats.
