tips for Mexico; drink bottled water or tequila. Yes the cops will take your money. Dont carry more than your willing to give a dirty cop in your walet. IF you see a sign that says 'donkey show' go in that building. Wrap it up,twice. the naked children in the subway arnt really poor, dont give them money.

Stay in tourist areas do not go off into actual places and urban areas....u will get jumped....Do NOT i cannot stress this enough....eat at any roadside restaurant, shack, or basically any place that isnt full of asians snapping photos...you will get diahrea and you will regret it for the rest of your life

get some mexican money, and a phrase book. if you dont have a phrasebook and dont speak spanish, go to one of the millions of online translator sights, type in random phrases, and write them down in spanish. then, go to the shadiest place in town and start reading your list

I've been to mexico fourteen times, lived there for six months at one point, and written three books on the nations cultural practice and society. Here is my advice to you.

Oh, and all that stuff up there was bullshit. I've only been to Mexico 3 times, and I mostly stayed at the resort.

I'VE ONLY EVER BEEN TO MEXICO ONCE, AND IT WAS CANCUN.. SO I'M SURE IT'S A LOT DIFFERENT THAN TIJUANA. BASICALLY, JUST BE CAREFUL TO DRINK BOTTLED WATER AND THINGS LIKE THAT, AND WATCH WHERE YOU EAT.

don't go to a whore-house, a guy i met down in mexico got head from a hooker and came back with 3 different STDs. And if you are gonna party off the resort, go with the DJ/host who works the 'disco' at your resort and go in a big group.
