Why doesn't Biggie just leave Wu-tang?

Why doesn't biggie just leave wu-tang and stick to making indie rap? I mean, I'm glad they signed him in the first place so people could see how good he was, but it just seems like they're holding him back now. Probably why he hasn't released any shit in a while.
