On the same day that bombs shook the streets of boston, on the other side of the world bombs go off killing 30 in iraq. My thoughts and prayers go out to the people affected by the tragedy in boston. And it makes me think of how troubled the world that we live in is these days.
Bombs go off there like every week why do you care about it today? Do you know how many threads a month would be made for every bomb that went off in the world.

"OMG U GUIZ ARE SO RECIST AND OUNLY CARE ABOOT AMERICANS!"
The fact of the matter is, the middle east subjects themselves to this sort of thing on a daily basis. When something like this happens in Russia, China, the UK, hell even South Africa you'll hear about it. Just like we dont hear about cartel violence in Mexico on a daily basis. The US is also known for its outreaching effect on all other nations, thats why this is a global story. Our media is seen as an international outlet
I saw an interview with some of the people involved in the bombings in Iraq. Same exact reactions to the bombings in Boston. "Why did this happen to me? Why us?" Confusion and fear still hit them hard, and it isn't fair to judge them based on their past and stereotypes based off Iraq. They're people just like you and me, so go away.
Who the hell cares. More than 30 people today died of malaria and hunger, but it's not as entertaining, so no one cares. Stop feigning interest in these cases. There's no real reason to take issue with it unless you know someone personally affected by it by proximity or relation.
Isn't that the point? It puts it into perspective - two relatively small explosions in Boston cause mass hysteria in the Western world, yet this is the reality of everyday life for a portion of the world's population. It's fucked. Granted they don't need intense coverage on every car bomb that goes off in Kabul etc (but BBC News does seem to cover most bombings briefly) but somehow the public just need to gain a bit of perspective, it's humans blowing up humans at the end of the day, and it shouldn't happen.
1- Thats because we dont have people blowing each other up on a daily basis. If shit like this happened every day here in the USA it wouldnt be on the news every day
2- We have a much more developed network of social media/news
3- It happened on our mainland. If we lived in Iraq, we would hear about whats happening there more often. Since we live in the states we hear news about the states
Do a little research before you fucking joke about this. Seriously one of the most fucked up things to say about innocent men, women, and children dying. Fuck you. Doesn't matter if it was a joke.
