If you have the money, going up a step and getting the Canon 7D will be much more worth it. Check out some comparisons of the two.

frame rate, buffer, construction, autofocus are all pretty major things for action sports

wrong.

video wise : 60D > 7D (exact same video sensor/both are weather resistant/60d has flip out screen/60d is cheaper

photo wise 7D > slightly better than 60D
