Watch MTV...or listen to the radio since Emo and garage rock are starting to become like Nirvana in the early 90s. Pretty soon they will ruin it by over playing the music. Emo is such a broad sound that you would have to be more specific in what you like there are very very mellow bands and then skremo bands which are more hardcore and have a lot of screaming as the name implies. If you want popularized emo that everyone loves now adays go check out basically any band on vagrant (aka emotaph) records

Kennebunk is the place in maine where the bushes have their summer house. There is a funny song by Good Clean Fun about emo people called - Last Night I Dreamed That An Emo Kid Loved Me
Its about the recent trend in hardcore of kids turning into emo kids. Its pretty funny like most of Good Clean Fun songs that rip on everyone and everything.

Victory sucks as a label in many ways. They screw over a lot of the bands they have on their label and are not really true to the scene like they try to seem. They sold out to a major label too, plus they sell basketball shirts of hardcore bands which has to be the lamest thing ever. You know a label truly sucks when half the bands signed by them bad mouth them all the time. They do have some great bands like Warzone (R.I.P.) and Blood For Blood...both of whom have said said negative things about Victory. How fitting Good Clean Fun also has a song about Victory Records sucking...

.moneen. are an amazing emo band. um I think they just got signed to like hopless records or some shit like that... um always outnumbered are also fucking good. I have always been a big grade fan myself though... these are all bands from ontario that are really really good. if you like emo check them out.

my personal opinion, emo sucks, but thats my opinion because i dont prefer emo, but, you said no 'pussy punk' only emo, well some people like to refer to emo as 'pussy punk' so please, dont say no pussy punk. i at one time in my life like a few emo bands, but thats all behind me now. one of the best bands to ever exist: the clash, so go download there whole first album beacuse it will never get old, 28 years have gone by and it is still one of the best punk albums made yet.

I am not a huge fan of NFG, but I give props cause in their video the guitar player is styling a Youth Of Today shirt and also used to be in Shai Hulud...Their disk of all movie theme songs has to be the worst album ever recorded though. Doing a cover of anything sung by Celine Dion should be punishable by death.

ah im missed, thanks andy for mentioning juliana theory, in my opinion one of the best emo bands that arent selling out and sounding like crap. some other good bands for all you MTV posers who want to listen to cool music would be Brandston, Ultimate Fakebook, new amsterdams, further seems forever, our lady peace (more indie)
and i like a tonnnnnn of indie stuff but i dont share
and yeah if you live in NJ, long island, eastern pa, theres alot of emo/punk rockers over here, its a good local music scene
