Given last week was my spring break, I was home from school for the week and ran into a little bit of a problem.
It was about 10am and I was in my car scouting around my neighborhood looking for nice pavement to longboard down later. As I reached the end of a road I pass a guy getting his mail in his Mercedes. I turn around and start going back up the hill see him start to pull into his driveway, stop, and pull out and start heading up the hill behind me.
I admit complete irresponsibility for this, I'm usually the safe driving advocate of my friends but on this particularly quiet morning, jokingly, I thought to myself "OH SHIT, HES TRYINA FOLLOW ME" and I nailed it up the hill. I hit maybe 50 at the highest before I reached the top and slowed down, but I'll try to make this a little clearer as to what I saw.
-I pass him at bottom of hill
-I'm about 1/3 up the quarter mile long hill when he starts following me
-The whole way up, its not clear that he is gaining on me, but he is still behind me
-I reach the top and at roughly 40mph he's RAGING toward me, slowing down just enough not to hit me
From here, he follows me by maybe 15 feet. At this point, I was shitting myself. I thought he was a cop and damn did he ride my ass. All the way home in fact, and as I pulled into my driveway, he passed reeeeal slow like.
A minute passes and I'm sitting in my parked car, full of questions and worry and guess who drives by. The way the neighborhood is mapped, if he just went straight he would've ended up home, so he went out of his way to pass me again. This really scared me. I got out and went inside. Looking from my bedroom window, maybe 3 minutes later, I see him coming down the road again. I don't know what to do.
From there, nothing else happens. Nothing that night or the next day, but that night I was out with friends till around 11 when I headed home for the night. In the morning, the pins in both of my tires that face away from the house (the pins that get pushed in to let air in or out and require a special little tool to remove) were gone. Well, the caps and pins were on the ground under my car and it made me late for work. I was a mad kid.
What I wanted advice with, is what should I do about this? Just let it go and hope nothing happens again? I'd love to get even with the bastard but he's got a camera over his garage door, my father had the knowledge to fix my tires and re-pump them without buying anything, and he clearly has young children.
