im guessing this thread wont go far, but either way i need some tips right now.

I bought brussel sprouts. right now im boiling them for a bit then i plan on baking them with some cheese on top.

Anyone else have good ideas on how to make these sprouts tasty?
I've been puking up bile all night, so this meal is important, as it will be the first to enter my virgin stomach.

I think they'll taste the best, if you don't eat them.

But if you've been sick, don't fuck around with cheese, if your stomach is upset something heavy and rich will only make it worse.

Carmelize them a bit, makes them taste that much better, of go light in the cheese especially if its a nice more expensive type of cheese

- Every food on earth can be improved by adding either cheese or chocolate.
- You don't need to preheat unless you're baking
- Homemade fries/ hashbrowns/ chips are easy as hell
- The perfect amount of salt is just before too much salt.

So add some cheese and salt to your Brussels sprouts, and make a side of fries

if you heat up oil with some garlic in it and then add the brussel sprouts (cut in half) saute on med-high heat till the start to brown then toss in some grated parm cheese, stir it all around for about 1 minute til mixed well. Enjoy.

chop up some bacon, fry it until it's halfway crispy, then halve your brussel sprouts and sautee that shit in the bacon grease. When they start to brown, shake some light brown sugar over top of them and eat em up. so good.

I pan fry asparagus in olive oil with garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon juice and it's really good! Sometimes I make this with salmon and rosemary in the pan as well and it's even better!

For the Brussels sprouts try frying off a few chopped slices of bacon in a pan, lifting the bacon out with a slotted spoon when crispy, drop in a minced clove of garlic and a small handful of sliced nuts (usually almonds) to fry off for for a min or so until the nuts are toasted, Then chuck in a couple of handfuls of thinly sliced Brussels sprouts, toss them in the hot oil then pour over a tablespoon or so of red wine vinegar, toss that up a bit then cook it until the sprouts begin to wilt. take it off the heat, mix in your bacon and you're good to go on tasty sprouts with bacon, garlic and toasted nuts.

FBGMI pan fry asparagus in olive oil with garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon juice and it's really good! Sometimes I make this with salmon and rosemary in the pan as well and it's even better!


Try wrapping them in prosciutto, laying them in a pan over lemon slices and drizzling olive oil on top with salt and pepper. Delicious.

I almost always grill my asparagus. Salt, pepper, olive oil and lemon juice.

I always find that when you're cooking, simpler is better. If you have to add a ton of ingredients to your food to make it taste better, you should have bought better ingredients.

I either grill the asparagus or wrap it. All depends on what my main dish is that I'm making.

There's a difference between adding ingredients to your food to make it taste better and actually needing it in the recipe.
