How long and what diameter is your beer line? Another issue that can cause foaming is not having ciculation within the kegerator. In my keezer, before I installed fans, it was 36 at the bottom and 55 at the top where the lines sat. That drastic temp change caused a bit of foaming with the first pour until the lines cooled. Once I got some air circualating with the fans it was all good.
Bmo.thats it! Cascade would be interesting. I decided not to mess with fruit this time, but i might blend up some berries and add it to individual glasses and see what pairs well for next time
i'd be interested to try a hefe with cascade
Sklari did blackberry in my hefe
it was WAY fruity after 2 weeks in bottles (did 5lbs for 5 gallons) but was really nice and mellow after about 2 months
cheaaaaaa5 lbs of dried blackberrys?? was it in the boil or did you "dry hop" it? i haven't used any adjuncts as of yet, but that seems like a ton. I'm thinking for my next beer doing a grapefruit west coast ipa with some citrusy/floral hops to back the taste. its gonna get tropical
Display_ScreenQuick question from a total noob.. I've never brewed anything myself so I want to do something pretty fail safe. I was thinking about mixing about a quarter table spoon of bakers yeast into a jug of Apple cider, shaking it up, and then putting a balloon with a hole poked in it at the top of the bottle/jug, and then leaving it in my closet until it stops fizzing? Would this work? Also, would it smell strong while it's fermenting?
