Idc about triples in slopestyle, that big air just shows that skiing has a lot more room for progression. Snowboarding seems like its come to a halt, just a bunch of similar look trips mixing up with frontside/backside, sw/forward. I just feel like with butters and varieties of grab combinations skiing will stay fresher, longer.
The argument can be made for skiing too though... Just saying. To a skier it seems like we still have a lot of ways to innovate. To a snowboader, they think they have a lot of ways to still innovate. But looking in from the other side, you often don't see the opportunities.
I was just joking with my non snow sports friends about this. Skiing looks way cooler because you have two skis to grab and play with, not just one board. 2>1, and because of math, skiing is twice as good as snowboarding.
Same can be said for Jon Olsson. Say a few words at least, I am super stoked, congrats to the other riders. I am no language master either but I at least know the basics to another foreign language, or have someone translate it ain't that hard.
