Summer Internships/Camp Counselor/Jobs

I'm a senior in high school, and I want to do something larger than just a dead end summer job. I'm looking into Internships, and Camp Counselors. I've been searching camps around my area, and area's I'm interested in. But can't find anything that I'm super set on.

I love skiing but I'd be down to do really any position at an outdoors camp or elsewhere. So if you guys have done some cool internships or summer positions that are more than just making money then let me know. Over all I want to make an impact bigger than just myself.

I worked here last summer: www.doublehranch.org Easily the best summer I've ever had. Not exactly in your area but there is another camp called Camp Korey in, I believe, the Seattle area. It's part of the same network of camps and has the same mission so I think the experience would be very similar.

Wish I would have done this for most of my summers.I worked every summer of highschool besides a few family vacations in here and there. Something I definatley regret looking back on it now. Not sure if the money was totally worth it. Although I do feel like it has given me a way better work ethic. Too late to do anything about it now though!

Yeah, I live down in Bend so that would real close. But super hard to get into I'm guessing. But I'll probably at least apply. Thanks for the idea!

Go travel. Doesn't have to be big expensive trips, but go do something fun. It's the last summer before college. Friends will start staying at school for summers, getting internships where they go to school, all that fun stuff, so this is the last chance to be with them. I'm glad I decided not to work my last summer, and instead did a bunch of camping trips. You can do Yosemite for a week for super cheap, just make sure to reserve a spot now. We got lucky and did walk in at camp 4 I want to say. National forests are super fun as well. Just go explore stuff.

Wiley Miller a map near you, chuck a dart, find what national forest it hit thats close by, and go spend a few days there. Do this over and over.
