The Inspired demo tour and the Tell a Friend tour got me thinking that we really need to see a ton more of these types of things.

What do you think? If you've been out to one of these tell us how it was.

Phil said it well last night, but that's exactly what skiing needs. A ton of "pros" who don't focus just on contests, but all aspects of skiing, and making sure to promote it amongst the younger generations. The other thread talking about it (the younger generation is failing skiing) pointed out the fact we could really use more of them.

Not to mention, all the guys on these tours are a BLAST to ride with. Unbelievably nice dudes with a love for the sport that want to spread the stoke.

Don't forget about the Nordica Crosstek Tour. It's a smaller one, but still fun.

But yeah, I agree, it'd be especially nice to see slightly smaller companies like Saga, Surface, ON3P, ect who have a decent following out west take some east coast/mid west tours. I know that's hard budget wise, but it does really help build a following other than out west.

epic planks is working on doing some demo days in michigan. nothing as significant as inspired but its a good start and i think they're team of riders can only get stronger

I think one thing these can do is expose talent in places where no one ever goes. Some kid throwing down at some tiny little hill makes it into the edit, and boom! Suddenly people want him on their teams.
I also think it's good for the brands. I'm more likely to buy from a brand that seems like it cares and goes around to every little nook and cranny so people can demo gear. Plus I like demoing gear before buying it. And when brands show a personal face like this, they make more sales, and that benefits them, too.

Yea, those things seem awesome! First off, they are great for the brand and can really convince someone to buy from the brand after skiing around with their pros all day. It's also an easy way to get to chill with some pros for a day. Lastly, it can really help some local east coasters get noticed by that brand and potentially others.

this is what I find so cool about it. I was a "pats peak kid" back in the day, and if I showed up and saw henrik and phil slaying the turbulance park I would have shit my pants with joy.

Yeah that is the best part about it. The skiers who actually support the industry aren't slaying pow at these rockstar resorts 24/7... they're in the parks and carving down the sub 1,000' hills on the east.

I think there's basically nothing better than pros showing up and spending time with the true core of the sport.

Tours are the future, its unfortunate it has took this long to develop, everyone remembers their favorite athlete/s coming back to their home mountain/skatepark ect... We have had our first stop and the turn out was great. http://lafamiliachannel.com/talk/?p=31 Next stop Cannonsburg Mi January 12th

The LaFa tour at Big Boulder in PA was awesome, the vibes were so good, and honestly not only were the pros slaying, but it pushed me to do tricks I have never done before. Tours are awesome, and I hope I can be a part of more of them.

I used to run a corporate sponsored tour around the Midwest that offered terrain park training/education to all levels of skiers/boarders, a free rail jam, and endless amounts of free shit to giveaway. we pulled hundreds of young skiers into the sport of freestyle in our 2 short seasons. We NEED more stuff like this. I'm so stoked to see inspired crew come through the Midwest and will definitely be supporting.

Inspired really needs to hit up MA, half the mountains dont give a shot about their park, but if they saw kids getting stoked on pros and watching them (and I wouldn't be surprised if it was their first time seeing a pro skier like this) they might put some more effort into their park.

Had a good convo with a local rep about this the other day. collaborations between brands and the local hills seems like a real win-win.

would really like to see more community at the hills and i think these would help.

Would absolutely like to see more of this! I went to the Inspired stop at Saddleback, it was sick to be able to lap with the pros and be part of the crew. The best part was how low-key it was, if these demo tours continue I will be one happy skier
