hahahaha, i remember i used to pronouce it way wrong, and then one day (like 2 years ago) i saw it on a ski movie and i was like ... 'oh.'

Then i felt really stupid.

i already tried to explain the two, but its impossible to explain via text.

actually,

thing of the work 'time', then use the i sound in time and that's how the i in jib sounded.

where as, the real pronouciation is like the first i in indian..

make any sense?
