Hey NS, I have to make a final project for my woods class. I don't really know what to make so I came here to ask what you guys recommend. Try to keep it under 100 dollars! If you have any stories be sure to share them.
put some time into it and make something worth while, seeing how its a class im sure you can get the matierals cheap and use all available equipment. I would venture to make a kitchen table, or a dope coffee table made out some cool wood combos. Walnut center with a Maple edging. dont be that guy who makes a god damn bird house. other ideas could be a book shelf, a wine rack if your into that. get creative
Im currently making a DVD tower, just finished the sketch today. Converting it to CAD tomorrow. Its got 4 shelves, door on the front will be flush with the face and there is a drawer underneath the door. Im using a cheap wood (oak) and i want it black to match my TV so i'll be using coats, on coats, on coats of ebony stain.
"let me put it this way;
there is absolutely no feeling in this world that is as amazing as floating through waist deep pow in a massive, open bowl, while being with your best friends.
Make a combination coat/ski rack. Make an end table or a bedside stand. Basically anything you can use after you move out of mommy and daddy's becuase furniture is fucking expensive, escpecially good hardwood furniture. I made two tables, an entertainment center, and a bookshelf all of solid oak before i was done with high school. Still have them all in my place now over 10 years later.

I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again. ~William Penn
Stand on your baggage rather than carry it, you won't be burdened and you'll be a bigger man
Favorite thing I made was a sick queen size bed. Took a long ass time and was like 300 bucks but its cool as shit. For cheaper stuff I've made like dressers/closet organizers/bedside tables/coffee tables/dildos
I usually film with my graphing calculator but I wrap it in a fuzzy blanket so she doesn't get frostbite. -JStrathern$

I would reccomend making a piece of furniture, like a little table or anything really. Think, is there maybe something you need/could use? Also try to make it so that it'll come in handy as a nice piece of furniture later once you move out and start furnishing your own place.
I kinda like woodworking. I think I have to furnish my own place next year so if I have a car to drive stuff to boulder, I might get to make some of it. I like that shelf made out of the fallen tree and pallet, might try something like that
