Felt like making an actual reply to stoner thread.
I honestly just feel like Americans (yes this is an incredibly large generalisation) are extremely naive, maybe naive is too harsh, overly optimistic maybe and slightly childish in your view of the world.
Just looking at your politics for instance, the whole thing is so ridiculously over the top. Massive stadium concert like rallies, little clips of people walking through parks talking about how much they love America. If an English politician did that they'd get ripped to shreds by the media in a heartbeat.
I feel like the British are a lot more cynical and have a bit more of a down to earth view of the world. This isn't necessarily a good thing, just an observation.
I realise that this is a really stupid opinion to have of a country of 300 million people but when I think in super general terms it's the first thing that comes to mind.
