Not a fan of skier of the year comps, they are absolutely pointless because of the wide variety of skiers and branches of freeskiing. Like stated before, its all opinion.

that a boy. I think if Few Words came out a few weeks ago (for purchase) Candide would have won by a landslide. Oh well, he's always been my favorite. That's all that matters to me.

Let me preface this by saying Candide is my all-time favorite skier. But, this competition is for skier of the YEAR, a year in which no one has seen anything of Candide except for a trailer. You shouldn't be voting based off of Candide's history. That said the competition is fucking dumb anyways. Even if Few Words had been released and it was mind blowing kids probably would have voted for Casabon.

I can see through this vote and statistics Freeskier shared that kids are a great target for commercial use, so influenced by close and branding, so influenced by these drink sponsors, it's like "yeah, he's so cool with his Monster Sticker and bad ass gangzzta tall tee". Fine, if you like his dressing good for you, but kids, please, vote for the skier, not for the brands.

I'm 17 and voted for casabon. The voting is for skier of the YEAR, and I find it hard to vote for someone who I've only seen ski in a short trailer this year. Few words will probably change my mind, but as of now I would say that casabon is more deserving.

As a 17 year-old youngling, I voted for Casabon, but I fave a faint trace of reasoning behind it. Both Candide and Casabon have a fantastic feelings towards skiing, like how Casabon (generally) doesn't do doubles, he prefers to ski how he wants to ski. That inspires me and my attitude towards skiing. His positivity (along with Tanner and Henrik) is what gets me excited to ski, It makes me look forward towards going out on the hill and having a great time.

On the other hand, Candide skis the way I would want to ski, however I live in Minnesota so his style of amazing big mountain skiing is fairly out of reach. This is why I chose Casasbon.

18 here voted for casabon. You're the one calling us dumbfucks but you don't even understand the basic title of the competition. Again, its skier of the YEAR. You tell me who has worked harder to produce video parts, because Phil's segment in EOS definitely took tons of work and hard falls. The guy puts sweat and blood into the sport. I haven't seen that from candide THIS YEAR.

I have watched and drooled over Few Words trailer probably a hundred times, I have been able to make it through EOS twice. Quite honestly 5 minutes of Candide eclipses Casabon's entire career.

Candide is one of the greatest but for me it was obvious to vote for Casabon (no I´m not the biggest B and E fan around). you´re suposed to vote for the skiers you think was the best or your favourite teh previous year. As far as I know Candide only dropped the Few Words trailer (and the movie obviously but it´s only been shown in France) while Casabon put out a lot more footage

74% of 17 year olds obviously have not seen the way Candide rips down real mountains. I love watching phil casabon slam into walls and do tail butters, but Candide is still changing the game.

2. No, it wouldn't, because it's an online popularity contest. The only person of the four people left who even has a remote claim to being there is P White. And he's there because he's a level 1 skier. The demographic who votes for this stuff on Freeskier is not the kind of demographic who would ever vote Candide into 1st because his video part was better. If that were the case, Richard Permin and Todd Ligare wouldn't have been out in the first round, because their stuff was obviously better than Casabon's and TYW's.

I reiterate my "This contest is stupid" comments. 16 year olds will vote for Tom, Henrik and Phil every year regardless, it really doesn't matter what skiing happens in the interim by them or by anyone else and it certainly doesn't matter what videos are widely screened in what areas.
