this is from the NY times
BAGHDAD, Iraq, Oct. 24 - The Iraqi interim government has warned the United States and international nuclear inspectors that nearly 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives - used to demolish buildings, make missile warheads and detonate nuclear weapons - are missing from one of Iraq's most sensitive former military installations.
The huge facility, called Al Qaqaa, was supposed to be under American military control but is now a no man's land, still picked over by looters as recently as Sunday.
Looks like we fucked up in Iraq again, wait a second... an NBC News report later noted the explosives were already gone before troops arrived at the Al-Qaqaa installation. Another false report by the NY times, and surprise, CBS was going to run this story until the times broke it first. From 'only the news thats fit to print' to 'only the news that helps Kerry'
How can the times skew the facts so horribly. The article was clearly written as if the weapons went missing under US troops, which is simply not true.
