Bishop has posted in other threads multiple times since Literature made a suggestion he was claiming didn't exist. (And on FB because he added me following this thread creation?)

One has been proposed, and it's actually quite the opposite of censorship... It gives a voice to the people to let them know what ads are most favorable and effective.

You're right***. Your*** initial thread post had nothing to do with not running ads that are too risqué for someone who's in a corporate enviornment.

I think the lack of response from Doug, is the response itself...

No conspiracy guys, just busy. Have a website to run, and spending huge chunks of my day arguing about this takes my time away from improving the site.

Ratings for ads would be absolutely my favorite thing in the world to do. We have been trying to cook up a plan to tackle this for years, but the level of work of integrating it into the site has not yet made it something that is even remotely possible to handle. We don't use a custom ad server, we use DoubleClick for Publishers, and this is the same system used by all of Source Interlink Media. We'd have to write a completely custom ad system, and then layer it on top of DFP. Possible, but we'd have to shut down all other development and only focus on this one feature for a year.

For now, you vote with your money. If you hate ads, then don't buy that company. Free markets take care of the rest.

I do hate to tell you guys though, the FD Wear ads performed better in terms of clicks than any other ad on the entire website. If they advertise in the same way again in the future... well that is for the wonders of the capitalistic system to decide.

For the rest of you who can't handle the NS experience with FD Ads - Install ad blockers, leave the site or wait for them to go away. For the love of god stop talking about it, all you're doing is giving massive, massive, massive exposure for the brand you're trying to hate.
