no because i am one. i also enjoy skiing so between new snowboard gear new ski gear and my season pass im probably going to have to bum rides to the mountain and eat ramen until summer

I think snowboarding air tricks tend to look smoother. I think its just because there's one board instead of two.

Not to mention landing on your tailbone/butt every other fall, that looks like it would be painful on a big jump, whereas skis you can just slide out on your side.

well played. but not what he meant. 5050ing and pressing on a snowboard is far different. it has a much different feel. tail and nosepresses on a snowboard are all time. the amount of base area that youre actually using to balance on the rail is so minimal.

jibbing = absolutely. having 2 balance points on a single board rather than just one would be splendid.

pow - hellz naw. sb in pow is fun but so taxing on your back leg and frustrating to get around.

Nope! Skiing has way more trick variety and its also easier to get speed in an urban area.

I do both. Only thing I envy about snowboarding is just the number of tricks they can do on rails/boxes.

I prefer riding pow on skis too.

I enjoy snowboarding and watching snowboarding every once in a while. The skate-like style is cool. I will say that their tricks often look kind of similar since it is less clear when they're riding switch or normal.

Used to snowboard. I could switchback any day if I wanted but I enjoy skiing to another level.

I tell people that I ski with a "snowboarder style." Seems to work for most people who don't really understand freestyle skiing.

I used to snowboard and im glad i dont anymore, its just such a hassle to do you bindings up every time you get to the top of the hill and its just nice to be more manoeuvrable on rails with skis. Only thing i miss is being able to ollie really high way easier.

Yeah, i agree with everyoe. Like i'll watch ski videos at school. and people will be like "whoa....wait, that's not snowboarding? You can do flips on skis?!"

Allot of my friends snowboard and every time we travel with public transportion to get to the hill I wish I snowboarded instead. They can wear the snowboard boots and all they need to bring is one board but as a skier I need to carry my boots, skis and poles.
Also I think snowboarding looks really fun, not saying it looks more fun than skiing but I honestly think that if I had started snowboarding instead I would probably like it just as much as I like skiing now.

their shit is so light though, and they can wear their boots to the mountain. We gotta figure out somewhere to put our shoes.

Also, we are so much more prone to knee injuries and smashing our bollocks on rails

I find that skiing gear lasts longer than snowboarding gear. their boots are cheaper but wear down much faster. So, its not really cheaper in the long run.

i think their rail game is typically way smoother so i like that but skiing jumps is way more interesting. i also like not having to strap in and being able to move my legs without being locked in to one position

ya I kind of agree. Some will argue that skiing has a better rail game, but I think their tricks look more natural and they have more variety. Jumps are way better on skis though.

i snowboard and envy skiers all the time... the long jackets and big ass pants just look better with your legs together...also skier's cork 7's almost always look sick while a lot of corks on snowboards just look bad...their both sick...I think its good to appreciate both

This kind of "pressed out" you refer to is actually frowned upon in snowboarding. When doing boardslides and lipslides you're supposed to keep the rail between the feet.

I get jealous of my buddy when he drives back to the house in his snowboard boots. I can't even push in the clutch with my ski boots on.

This. I agree it doesn't look very natural at all. I'm jealous of the comfy boots. The thing that makes me not jealous at all besides how not smooth it looks, is getting in and off the lift. that seems like it'd be the worst part

I snowboard and there are times when I wish I was still skiing.  It is soooooooooo much easier to spin on skis after you learn how to spin on a snowboard.  seriously you need to try it just rent a snowboard for a month and learn as much as you can then try a three.  then after that go back to skiing and you will be able to add any where from 90 to a 360 to your largest spin.  I used to ski, then I switched to snowboarding for 5 years, then I slamed my snowboard boots into my friends skis by pulling up the binding lever and hit a jump and did a 360.  after 8 years of not skiing once (there was a lot of downtime) the skis came off in mid air and i landed on my boots but my friend was amazed.
