5th Metatarsal Jones Fracture & Skiing This Season

So here's the deal: on the 9th of September, I broke my 5th metatarsal (the bone in the foot below the pinky toe). It's been about a month since, and I'm now in a walking boot rather than just a full cast. So my question is, have any of you suffered anything similar, or the same thing even, and will my foot be strong enough by season, particularly for x-country skiing (seeing as though that requires much more foot work)?

P.S. I have been doing range of motion exercises with my ankle for the past week or so, and thats been helping the stiffness from the cast, but I can still feel that the bone itself is weak.

honestly ive never skied with any other injuries other than my acl but ive told myself if i have an injured foot id ski on it. but its all in your head. if it hurts, its all in what you can manage. im 3 months out of acl reconstruction and i dont have very much pain when skiing but that because i did a rediculous amount of therapy and used the stroongest graft. if it hurts, stop. Plus take into consideration your boot is going to restrict almost all of your foots movement so you will most likely be totally fine.

no september 9th was almost 2 months ago.

I take exercise science so I'm no doctor, but it should be close to fully healed by now depending on the break. but you also gave us minimal info so go to the doctor.

People always say this when people make threads, but honestly doctors timeframes are often pretty fucked up, and always either assume the worst or that your body restructuring rate is that of a 70 year old with osteoporosis.
The timeframe of a body healing is probably a lot more realistic coming from people his own age and from similar activities.

Just my $.02.

And to OP, I got no clue, but chances are as long as you work hard rehabbing it quick, you should be able to ski fairly soon when you get out of the boot.
