while i agree that person doesn't seem par for the course on the world cup level... get used to it

the world cup and eventually the olympics are NEVER going to be the highest levels of competition

i mean shit, a max of four per country per event... US could send 20 kids to legit compete in slopestyle

that's why we have x games

so to compete in a world cup/ Olympics ski competition just emigrate to a bad skiing country
its a win for everyone, the country does better and you get to be a world class athlete
(even if you suck) :D

You do realize there will be a learning curve to start off the WC event. Its common for any sport starting up an international competition.

Or maybe the skier is just a girl.

ya wouldn't be surprised if it was a girl, cant tell from the name having no real knowledge of Japanese culture, things happen but japan def has some freesking to produce some talent has to e a girl, SHOYA

you realize that its the summer for most world cup level competitors the top level guys are training to get primed up for next season. To travel to Argentina for one competition for most high level athletes is not worth it. They would be better off resting or building a foundation to compete in Europe and North America. It happens in all sports, how do you think  this guy qualified?

the main isssue is to get the money to actually travel to the olympics and pay for your expences when everything is overpriced.

IF YOU ARE going to WORLD cup and EVENT< or WORLD class anything, make sure it is worthy.

No offense, but THINGS MAY get POLITICAL, when you start mixing in that genre of spectators, coaches and parents.

There needs to be a filter. Slope style filtration device.

Nope. Any skier should be able to acknowledge the gap in talent between male and female skiers, especially on the freestyle front of things. It takes time for the gap to close.

I think that's dope as fuck that anyone can enter into a world competition. So what he didn't win you probably got to ski with some of the top competition that's how you get better.

for park and pipe it's laughable how bad the women are compared to men. i can't speak on other aspects but (don't quote me on this) i remember seeing somewhere that vonn wanted to compete with men but then admitted it wouldn't even be worth it because she'd place so low. but i think that's a bit different than winning x games with ungrabbed 7s
